There are many kinds of lines: straight lines: horizontal, vertical and diagonal; wavy lines; zigzag lines and curved lines. TextureTexture adds dimension to artwork.
Artwork can include texture that can be seen and texture that can be felt.

ShapesShapes are created by putting lines together.
Geometric and Free form shapes are used to create artwork. SpacePositive and Negative Space.
By adding or taking away elements of a piece of artwork the artist can incorporate positive and negative space.

Value:Tints & ShadesValue = tints and shades.
Value is based on how light or how dark a color is. Tints are created by adding white to a color and Shades are created by adding black to a color. FormForm is 3D artwork.
Artwork with form can be created using many different mediums. In my classroom form is typically achieved using clay or tin foil and masking tape.

Simple color mixing is accomplished by mixing the primary colors to create secondary colors.
